How to make a vacant land liability claim

If something has just happened
- Help anyone who's hurt and call 000 in an emergency. First aid costs at the time are covered.
- Make the area safe if you can do so safely, such as fencing off a hazard. Temporary protection is covered up to $10,000.
- Record everything: photos, dates, names, witnesses, and any letters or demands you receive.
- Don't admit fault, offer payment or negotiate. The insurer has the right to handle the claim.
- Tell us straight away, even if you think the amount is small.
